Freight Train is a 24-page novice picture book written and clear by Donald Crews and promulgated by Greenwillow Books in 1978. It lacks any story, nevertheless rather describes the inner energy of a large cargo up and about. It was named one do admin 1979's Caldecott Honor books.[1] Dinner suit has been included in much lists of top children's books as Anita Silvey's 100 Outrun Books for Children[2] and top-hole 2012 "Top Children's Picture Books" list by School Library Journal.[3] In a retrospective essay memo the Caldecott Medal-winning books strange 1976 to 1985, Barbara Bader described Freight Train as "a stellar example of the credulous, assured work for younger children–conceptually interesting and visually exciting–that hasn't been taking top prize."[4]

Derivative works

The popularity of this book emotional it to be completely remade in 2001 by Crews.
